Money: Credit cards are accepted in most hotels and large restaurants but rarely in small guesthouses and local warungs. Cash is king on the island and preferable form of payment. Make sure to take plenty of cash when heading to smaller beach towns as ATMs can be unreliable at times.
Getting Around: You can rent your own scooter or use one of the following options: Bluebird Taxi, Grab or Gojek
Climate: Tropical, warm and humid all year round
Etiquette: Don’t use your index finger to point at something. Knees and shoulders should be covered when visiting temples and a sarong and a temple scarf are necessary. Don’t step on offerings on the street.
